Glacius freezes an enemy for a few seconds and increases the damage they take from follow-up attacks. Once you've unlocked Glacius by completing Madam Kogawa's Assignment 1, you should immediately replace Levioso with it as your number one Control Spell (Yellow) option. The additional fire bolts will not only break red shields, but they'll also seek up to three nearby foes. While you might want to swap it out for Bombarda later on, unlocking the Confringo Mastery will allow this spell to carry you offensively for a vast portion of the main story.
